A.Alagappan did his early schooling at Rosary Matriculation Convent, Madras and passed the All India Hr. Sec. Exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi as a student of R.S.K. Hr. Sec. School, Trichy. He later graduated in Business Administration from the Madurai University in 1976. He started his business career by joining his family business of coffee cultivation and consumer products distribution.After being associated with it for more than two decades he decided to enter the field of education aimed at guiding and moulding the youth. He is also engaged in real estate investment and property development. He is the Managing Trustee of Wisdom Foundation, an educational trust established for providing quality education to young children and is the Founder Director of Blossom Public School, a premier educational institution at Thanjavur. He is currently the Director of Alagu Academy, a human resources development enterprise, a director of Sri Nachammai Cotton Mills Ltd. a textile company and is on the governing council of Gnanam School of Business, Thanjavur
He has served as President of the Thanjavur Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and as Area Commander of Tamilnadu Home-Guards for Thanjavur District. He is an active Rotarian since 1977and has served as District Governor of Rotary International District 2980 during the year 1994-95. He is a sports lover and has been the captain of his school and college cricket teams.In 2001, he founded Blossom School at Thanjavur to provide quality education to young children.
S.Mary Shanthi completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Hr. Sec. School, Thanjavur and holds a Masters degree in Commerce from the Bharathidasan University, Trichy. She took her Bachelor’s degree in Education and passed her Masters in Philosophy with distinction as the college topper also from Bharathidasan University, Trichy. She has a teaching experience of fifteen years. Having served as a lecturer in Commerce at the college level for six years (1995-2001),she joined Blossom Nursery & Primary School as a teaching staff in the year 2001 and became the Principal in the year 2003. She is presently serving as Principal of Blossom Public School. During her student days, she was actively involved in arts and cultural programmes with special interests in dancing and singing. At the college level, she has successfully organised useful seminars for the students. She has done valuation of exam papers at the University level for about seven years.
Her personal rapport with the children, the teachers and parents has enabled her to understand their needs and serve as a good guide to all of them. On the teaching side, she handles soft skills specialisation classes aimed at helping the children acquire leadership qualities and to improve their overall personality. She also has a passion to promote value education aimed at helping our children emerge ethical and become responsible citizens.
